Time Off for Good Behavior in Custody?
If you have been convicted of a crime, and have spent weeks or months awaiting sentencing, you are not alone. The average time a person spends waiting for sentencing in Wyoming is 57 days, and is often far longer, usually months. It has been proposed that the law be rewritten so that a prisoner can apply the days spent waiting for sentencing or a transfer to prison be taken off his or her sentence as “time served.”
Wyoming Hospitals Score Low on Nationwide Test
Hospitals are not transparent by nature. They don’t share their safety records with the public, and they do not like to admit it when they make mistakes. They’re businesses, and while we hope they have good motives, we know the administrators make a lot of money.
Summer Drinking and Driving Don’t Mix
Summer is finally here, and now we can enjoy all the benefits the sunny and warm season has to offer. The kids are out of school, and people are taking trips to the lake, having pool parties, barbecues, picnics, and more! Though these activities are a great way to take a load off and spend much-needed quality time with friends and family, many summer activities also involve alcohol consumption.
Wyoming Trial Attorneys Unveil Scholarship Winner for 2019
Every once in a while, giving away money can be more fun than making it. Especially when that money is going to a good cause, like the college education of a deserving Wyoming student! For that reason, we at Steven Titus & Associates, P.C., are delighted to tell you that we’ve chosen a winner for our Find Your Path Scholarship 2019.
Final 2 Chosen for Find Your Path Scholarship
Steven Titus and his team of trial attorneys would like to thank the Wyoming students who applied to our Find Your Path Scholarship 2019. We asked you to tell us about a person who made a difference in your life, and how you hope to make a difference in someone else’s because of them. Since our deadline of May 28th, we’ve been studying your essays and debating who should win the prize. We’re not ready to announce that just yet, but we do have our finalists!
Review Your Auto Insurance Policy
If you drive a vehicle in Wyoming, you need auto insurance to satisfy your lender, protect your assets, and comply with state minimum liability insurance requirements. It is highly recommended that you review your auto policy on a regular basis to ensure you have the protection you need. The minimum coverage required by law is usually not enough for most people.
Let’s Talk Seatbelt Statistics (and Safety)
Most of us understand the importance of seatbelts. In fact, 90% of Americans do wear seatbelts every time they take a ride. Unfortunately, that leaves 27.5 million people who don’t. That’s a startling fact, considering that the simple act of buckling up is the best way to ensure your safety in the event of a car accident.
Take a Chance on Our 2019 Find Your Path Scholarship
At Steven Titus & Associates, P.C., we believe it’s important to give back. That’s why we’re once again holding our Find Your Path Scholarship. We want to help students find their path, and for many of them, college plays a big part in that. We’re offering $500 to one eligible student who applies before May 28, 2019.
Bubonic Plague Found in Three Wyoming Cats in Past Months
The bubonic plague is the stuff of nightmares. This disease was responsible for some of the darkest times in human history. But it’s not something we have to worry about in the 21st century, right?
Maybe.
Wyoming Sees Increase in Hunting Applications
There’s no doubt that Wyoming is one of the best places in the country to hunt. With our beautiful scenery and abundance of wildlife, it truly is a hunter’s dream. More and more people have been discovering this as, once again, the Wyoming Game and Fish Department is announcing a significant increase the number of hunting applications.
While this is good news for the state and for the hunters lucky enough to grab a license, it could spell trouble unless safety is a priority.
