Attorney Austin Carmen
Experienced Gillette Lawyer
Austin is a third generation Wyomingite. Growing up in Cheyenne, he attended Cheyenne East High School, after which he moved Buenos Aries, Argentina. During his time in Argentina, Austin met many people who had once lived in the United States but had since returned due to losing status. It was then that he realized the great work that could be done to help others who were looking for the opportunity to work and live in the United States.
After returning home, he attended Brigham Young University-Idaho where he earned his Bachelors of Arts degree in English Literature and a Minor in Spanish Language Literature.
After graduating with his Bachelors, Austin came back to the Cowboy State to attend law school at the University of Wyoming. Austin worked at the Child and Family Legal Advocacy Clinic as an advocate for individuals who were trying to preserve their parental rights, and help them through divorces. Austin spent a year interning with an attorney out of Casper, Wyoming where he found the satisfaction that comes with helping those who had been charged with crimes, navigate through the complicated legal system. After completing law school Austin worked as a criminal defense attorney handling both misdemeanor and felony matters. Austin has been described by past clients as an attorney who is honest and helpful and who is always looking out for their best interests.
Looking to expand his areas of practice, Austin joined Steven Titus and Associates in 2018. He is helping to expand the firm’s practice handling divorces, custody disputes, child support modifications, and any other type of family law matters that need his attention. He is also building the firm’s immigration practice. He hopes people who come to the United States to build a better life for themselves can find the peace of mind they need while he handles their immigration issues. He also handles day to day criminal proceedings when needed.
When he is not at work, Austin enjoys spending time cooking, reading, playing the trumpet, and spending time with his wife and kids.
